Zucchini and nutritional values

Zucchini is a great vegetable for adults and children, but still under-appreciated. Belongs to the gourd family, native to Mexico. It is worth knowing that it is low-calorie and easily digestible, an important source of vitamins and minerals. It is said that in this respect it disqualifies other related vegetables - cucumber or pumpkin. Zucchini has been shown to be great in the diet of people caring for a slim figure, has deacidifying and anti-cancer properties (especially in the context of gastrointestinal cancers). It is worth eating because of the high content of vitamins A, B and C. In addition, zucchini is a great source of minerals: phosphorus, calcium, iron, potassium, and soda.

Zucchini has a slightly nutty taste. You can eat it raw, bake, fry. It is worth adding that the kitchen can also use zucchini flowers, which blend well as an ingredient in cakes.

When buying zucchini, it is worth paying attention to vegetables no longer than 30 centimeters, with shiny, intact skin. It is better to keep it at room temperature, it loses its taste in the refrigerator.

  • half a large onion,

Wash, peel and grind zucchini on a fine-mesh grater, salt and set aside for a few minutes, pour excess water. Onions and garlic are peeled and cut into small cubes. Add grated zucchini, then add chopped dill. We heat the pan, and immediately put on the dough, fry on both sides until golden brown, deprive excess fat on paper towels. The dough must not lie for too long, because the zucchini lets out plenty of water.
